How to install a bidet (renters and reversible)

If you do not own the bathroom, you want a non-electric attachment. It tees into the existing fill valve, sits under the seat, and comes off in the same 10 minutes. The feeling of clean should move with you.

Skip electric seats and smart toilets in a rental unless the landlord already has a GFCI within a few feet of the bowl and you have written permission. You are not fishing a 120V cord across a bathroom floor.

Install, in plain English

Shut the angle stop. Disconnect the flex line from the tank. Tee the bidet in. Reconnect. Mount the unit under the seat with the existing bolts. Open water. Test. Most elongated and round US toilets take these without a plumber. If the seat is a weird one-piece or wall-hung, stop and read the type guide first.
